Employees and shareholders are internal stakeholders

Stakeholder : any person or group of persons who influence or are influenced by the activity of a company.

Specialized bodies

Because it is determined to advance towards social and environmental excellence, Air France makes full use of airline industry trade bodies and from voluntary bodies specializing in sustainable development as a means of bolstering its strategy.

Humanitarian community

A lasting concern at Air France is to help disadvantaged people, which is why it has long partnered the humanitarian community. Among others it supports programmes to help disadvantaged children, with donations from staff, from Air France itself, donations in kind and awareness raising campaigns, etc.

Authorities

The authorities legitimately influence Air France’s business activity. The air transport activity sector is highly regulated. Air France seeks to comply systematically with regulations and to identify all their specific features through its ongoing relationship with the authorities.

Local communities

Local communities, in the widest sense of the term, made up of elected officials, ordinary citizens and residents’ associations, constitute a special group of stakeholders with whom Air France seeks to build trust-based relationships. In 2007, to enrich the dialogue, Air France launched a newsletter for the Ile de France region which is set to be published six times a year.

The air transport professionals
To achieve its objectives, Air France has to take into account the ambitions of other air transport professionals. This is because its development depends on airport authorities, aircraft manufacturers, travel agents, and so on.
