Air France is pursuing initiatives to cut the impact of ground operations. Special efforts are made to reduce water and energy consumptions, waste  and the effects of local pollution. 
Consumptions

Air France’s environmental policy is driven by action plans drawn up by each individual entity. The plans are updated annually to ensure the Company remains on a continuous improvement trajectory.

Waste

Waste production is classified in two groups:
Non-special industrial waste (NSIW), which includes so-called “conventional” waste such as packaging, glass or wood, and Dangerous Industrial Waste (DIW), which requires special controls and action to ensure appropriate treatment.
