2008-09 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Combating climate change, building long-term relationships with our customers and contributing to economic development in regions where the Group’s airlines operate or which they serve are three of the five Corporate Social Responsibility issues facing the AIR FRANCE KLM group. The Group’s latest, 2008-09, report this year reflects the impact of the crisis affecting the airline industry, and the Group’s response in this tough environment.

  AIR FRANCE KLM has been confirmed as air transport sustainability “Sector Leader” for 2009 and will keep its place in both the Dow Jones DJSI World and DJSI STOXX Sustainability indexes.

Air France’s subsidiary Servair offers to airlines companies services dedicated to the transportation and to the comfort of passengers. Mostly located in Ile-de-France region, with 7 000 staff, Servair develops its activities on two main strategic segments: airline catering and airport assistance.

In “Tribune Libre” section, Gérard Eude, President of Seine-et-Marne Development Agency, explains that Roissy-CDG international airport represents a strong asset for the attractiveness of Paris area and indicates how, according to him, the company could get more involved in local projects to find together the way to conjugate the development of air transport in Roissy-CDG to the sustainable and balanced development of this territory.
